Black Friday is here, and recently it seems that even in Italy it’s becoming a thing.
However, while in the U.S. people rush into stores to get the best deals, in Italy mainly e-commerce platforms will offer sales up to 70%. Only few stores, such as the main department store in Milan, will join the “big sales day”.
Consumers’s attention is focused primarily on Amazon, which has a web page entirely dedicated to Friday’s promotion and offers non-stop sales, tripling offers with respect to last year. Moreover, Amazon has launched an insurance service called Protect to prevent costumers from thefth and damages.
Ebay Italia is also planning a special page for the event where people will find promotions especially on tech items.
Other tech stores have promised to join Black Friday’s rush: Unieuro, that last year applied a 22% discount on the whole catalogue, has planned to extend the offer to the entire weekend. Mediaworld has already proposed a wide range of sales on Single day, 11.11.2016, and may do it again this Friday.
Concerning clothing , it seems that some good deal can be found on Zalando, Yoox, Nike and Diadora. Brands such as Zara and H&M have also decided to take part and the beauty colossal Sephora as well.
Based on data from the previous year, on Friday the 25th online researches should be around 10 milion. The most searched products usually are mobile phones (3.6 million), IT (1.8 million) and toys ( 1.3 million).
