Sun, warm temperatures, flowering trees and caressing wind: spring is near and the upcoming exams aren’t a reason not to resist the temptation to accomodate the season that will lead us to a well-deserved summer.
One of the most exciting things to do is to change your winter attire to a more playful one, and this is exactly what Maria did. Maria is an international student from Portugal we interviewed these days between classes and study sessions in the library. She is 22 years old and she’s attending a Master in Economics and Management of Technology and Innovation. When we saw her we couldn’t resist to ask her for a photo: wearing varnish high heel ankle boots, printed flowing culottes and handmade wool coat from Zara with an oversized white Cashmere blouse from Massimo Dutti, she was the perfect synthesis of the transition from winter to spring.
When she’s not studying, she’s having a walk in Brera or a drink in Moscova and you may find her at Just Cavalli during the night. She described her style as “casual elegance with a twist”: <<I love to mix and match textures, patterns and colors. I believe small details may have a powerful impact on an entire look>>, she said while showing me her earrings from & Other Stories, Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Saffiano Leather Tote and a colorful fur pom-pom from Luisa Brito e Cunha, <<My favourite item of the outfit? Pretty mainstream, I know… but I would say my Clubmaster Classic Ray-Ban sunglasses. I have had them for ages and, as an icon, I guess I will never stop using them>>. About fashion she said that <<when it comes out naturally, it is almost a subconscious way of feeling comfortable in own skin and providing people with reliable information on your inner you>> and we couldn’t agree more. Aiming to work in a creative position and to find an environment where she can work directly with other people, assuming responsibilities, challenging herself and being judged and recognized according to her performance, she describes herself as a passionate, creative and hardworking woman.
We asked her what is the “must have” in her wardrobe and she answered <<Levis skinny jeans, white tops and casual blazers>>: simple but effective!
